About Victoria

Victoria Peloubet, a Fort Worth-based artist, channels a rich spectrum of inspiration through her vibrantly colored canvases. Drawing from the pop art legacy of Wayne Thiebaud and the impressionist portraiture of Hope Gangloff, Peloubet’s work is a testament to bold colors, playful compositions, and the celebration of quotidian moments. Her skillful use of exaggerated hues and attention to background details infuses her subjects with a palpable energy, creating an immediacy and intensity that radiates toward the viewer.

Her body of work occupies a unique space between Impressionism and Expressionism. She captures the light and characteristic color palettes of Impressionism, while injecting the emotional rawness often found in Expressionism. Although not directly employing Pop Art iconography, subtle nods to the movement emerge through her use of familiar, everyday imagery.

A graduate of Texas Christian University’s (TCU) studio art program, Peloubet brings a foundation of artistic principles to her practice. Her command of color theory and composition is evident in the lively palettes and dynamic arrangements that characterize her paintings. Following a career in advertising and graphic design, Peloubet dedicated a significant portion of her career to teaching art in the Fort Worth public high school system, inspiring a new generation of artists. Now fully dedicated to her own artistic journey, she has exhibited her work across fine art galleries and institutions in North Texas.

Peloubet’s work, deeply rooted in American cultural motifs, injects her personal vision through loose brushstrokes and whimsically detailed backgrounds echoing mid-century Americana. Committed to using her artistic talents to inspire and uplift, her creations evoke a sense of wonder and joyful discovery, inviting viewers to connect with the inherent beauty in the everyday.
